INFINERA MOBILE LAB TO VISIT SDN COMMUNICATIONS

SDN Communications is in the midst of deploying South Dakota's Research Education Economic Development (REED) Network and a key vendor in that effort, Infinera Corporation, will showcase its product in a mobile lab at SDN on Wednesday, June, 25th.
"Infinera will help us power the REED," says SDN Network Operations Director Tom Durfee.
The REED is a public-private fiber optic network partnership. The Information Superhighway closely following Interstates 90 and 29, will link South Dakota's universities and research institutions with huge bandwidth capacities designed for collaborative research efforts.
"SDN chose Infinera to supply the equipment for this project because it is internationally known in the high capacity fiber optic transmission world," Durfee says. "It's a great opportunity for SDN to host its mobile lab and expose the region to the technology Infinera has developed."
