Perry Groten Does Eye on Keloland at SDN Data Center

Posted on Tuesday, August 16, 2011 in General Blog Posts, Data Center, News, Technology

KELOLand TV reporter Perry Groten visited our data center to capture video for his Eye on KELOLand story.  I had the opportunity to watch him and his videographer, Kevin Kjergaard, shoot video for a news story.  Perry interviewed SDN Communication’s’ CEO Mark Shlanta, and Chad Munce of Sioux Falls Construction to get a better insight of what will all happen in the data center.  It was very intriguing to see how a news story comes to life.  Perry was at the site for about an hour getting video and taking notes for a story that will be around three minutes in length.

When asked why this is a newsworthy story, Perry said that it sparks interest in people driving by as the building’s size (25,000 square feet) gets their attention.  Also, KELOLand did a news story previously and people are interested in how the building will help hospitals and 911 systems in the instance that severe weather may strike and affect SDN’s main building.  SDN is hosting a ribbon cutting ceremony on November 4thfor the data center.  Watch our YouTube video for some behind the scenes footage in the making of the Eye on KELOLand story.  You can view the Eye on KELOLand story at www.keloland.com.
