Switches and Routers
Switches and routers help data move efficiently across your business network. This level of “artificial intelligence” helps better utilize bandwidth and system resources.
Switches filter and forward packets between the devices on a LAN network. If you have a smaller business and all employees are housed within one office
location, a switch can provide a good traffic filtering solution.
Routers serve as a network gateway and are designed to join two or more local-area or wide-area networks (LANs and WANs). Routers receive the TCP/IP packets and route to the destination IP address. Often, routers include an integrated firewall or other security features.
Wireless routers and access points offer additional flexibility for businesses. Employees, vendors and guests can have secure access to Internet services from any location in the office.
