Vernon Brown

Vernon Brown manages SDN Communications’ brand through the marketing, sponsorships, events, special projects and community relations. He and his team are experts are telling SDN's story as the most reliable ISP in South Dakota and the region.
He started with SDN in 2002 after 12 years of reporting at KELOLAND TV. He serves on a number of boards, including past chair of South Dakota Municipal League, Southeastern Council of Governments, Sioux Falls Homeless Advisory Board and South Dakota EPSCoR. Vernon was elected to the Sioux Falls City Council in 2002 and re-elected in 2006.
Vernon is an Arlington, SD native. He has a journalism degree from South Dakota State University. His wife, Tami, is an English teacher at Washington High School and they have one daughter.
