In 2009, SDN was among the top 1 percent of broadband companies to receive a federal Broadband Opportunities Technology Program (BTOP) grant. With the $20 million grant and a $5 million investment from SDN, over 300 anchor institutions in underserved communities will have access to high-speed broadband.
